Nestled in the village of Picuma, just west of Rio Suaza, this farm is run by the Osito team—Jose and Jadir Losada and Kyle Bellinger. The story behind El Mirador is personal. From stopping to say hello to Jose's parents on the main road in Picuma to the tight-knit crew that works the land, this farm is about much more than coffee — it’s about community.

The region is no easy place for coffee picking. With more profitable work in coca growing in nearby Casqueta, finding willing pickers is a tough call. But Jose is fighting back with an offer that no one can resist: wages far above the national wage. He’s not just cultivating coffee; he’s encouraging workers to choose a path that uplifts communities instead of fueling illegal industries.

During the harvest season, El Mirador brings in a crew of about 25 workers, including Carlos, Jose's father-in-law, who’s been with the farm for years. Their work is what makes this coffee special.
