Spotted: A Bourbon that remembers where it came from – and refuses to be forgotten.
From the misty hills of Gaharo, in Burundi's Gitega Province, where farmers once cleared every inch of land with their own hands, comes a coffee that tastes like community resilience. The Bukeye Washing Station sits at the feet of this hill, the very first built by Long Miles, a labor of love carved from overlooked earth.
The process is as raw as it is intentional. Cherries are floated, hand-sorted, then pulped and left to dry-ferment for 12 hours. After a final soak and a slow, patient dry on African raised beds, the bean emerges clean, complex, and utterly honest.
The cup? Silky with stone fruit, a whisper of honey, and a finish that lingers like a handshake from a neighbor who helped build your home.
